January 2008 A Happy New Year as MJD Global arrives in Shanghai..... On January 2nd, MJD Global (Michael and Jennie) landed in Shanghai to begin an exciting year long stay. During this time they will be engaged in business development activities on behalf of the Uruguayan companies with whom they signed consulting agreements, and the rest of the Mercosur region. They will also be offering their Business English and Cultural Awareness programs.
MJD Global guests of honour..... at the Opening Ceremony of the 2008 International Economic Trade Communication Year and the one Year Anniversary of the opening of WTC Changzhou.
MJD Global was invited to attend this prestigious event by Mr. Chang Ning Hu, president of WTC Changzhou. It was held in Changzhou, in the district of Wujin, on January 8th. Michael gave a congratulatory speech, in which he also outlined MJD Global's purpose in China. Fortunately, there was a translator present, as his Mandarin is not quite up to scratch! He also took part in the ribbon cutting ceremony, and, together with Jennie, attended the magnificent banquet later in the evening.
The following day, we had a tour of Changzhou, which is a city that dates back 2,500 years. Changzhou is two hours from Shanghai by car, and Wujin district is one of the most successful and richest districts in China.
All in all quite the start to MJD Global's China adventure!
October 2007 Consulting Services Agreements signed..... During a three week trip to Uruguay, MJD Global and their
associate, Advanced Humans Systems (AHS), signed Consulting Services Agreements with World Trade Centre Montevideo, Costa Oriental S.A., Repremar Logistics S.A., and Instituto Uruguay XXI. In addition, MJD Global signed a referral agreement with NBB National Business Brokers, Uruguay - Diamalem S.A.
As as result of these agreements, MJD Global will seek new business opportunities between China, Uruguay and the rest of the Mercosur region of Latin America.

MJD Global attends WTCA General Assembly in New Orleans..... At the invitation of Prof. Nelson Pilosof, President of World Trade Centre Montevideo, we attended this gathering, and met with WTCA members from all over the world. As a result, MJD Global now has several business opportunities in play, involving China, Uruguay, Canada, Italy and Mexico.
Aside from business, we also enjoyed the great food and wonderful music that New Orleans is famous for. However, now its time to put the preparations for China into top gear with a target of being in Shanghai in December of 2007. Michael, Prof. Nelson Pilosof with wife Rosa, Jennie
August 2007 MJD Global invited to WTCA General Assembly……The World Trade Centre (Montevideo), with
whom MJD Global has signed an MOU, has invited us to attend the World Assembly in October of 2007, where we will be introduced to WTC contacts from China.
July 2007 MOUs signed......MOUs have been signed with several Uruguayan companies who want MJD Global to
assist in promoting their business in China. We will be returning to Uruguay in October to finalize contractual details.
April 2007 China plans firming up……following their very successful business trip to Uruguay, MJD Global
is targeting to be in Shanghai starting in October 2007. They will establish their base during October, and then focus on both training and new business development. The opportunities offered through the association with AHS will mean an increased emphasis on the business development aspect.
March 2007 MJD Global in Latin America……this five week trip, which had been in the planning phase since
December 2006, turned out to be somewhat different than originally conceived. Instead of two weeks of business and three weeks of vacation, it turned into five weeks of business and three days of vacation!
Our associates in Uruguay, Advanced Human Systems (AHS) ( www.ahs.com.uy ) exceeded all expectations, both theirs and ours, by lining up sixteen, predominantly service oriented, companies and business organizations to meet with us, including some from Argentina and Chile. The idea of having a physical presence in China proved to be a very exciting strategic direction for these companies. The range of services offered is very broad, from banking, to investors groups, to facilitating new business establishment, to logistics, to Information Technology, to knowledge transfer, to establishing partnerships, to exporting wine to China and importing products from China. Michael Daly, Gustavo Rodriquez, Jennie Lamanna Daly
The result is that we are returning to Uruguay, with probable side trips to Chile and Argentina, in August to finalize details and sign agreements. No doubt AHS will have yet more interested parties for us to meet as well!
February 2007 MJD Global launches their website……www.mjdglobal.com was launched in February to coincide
with the business trip to Uruguay. As with all websites, it is a work in progress, and will be updated to reflect changes in the world of MJD Global as they happen.
December 2006 MJD Global associates with Advanced Human Systems (AHS)
Following a series of discussions, MJD Global and AHS, a management consulting company based in Montevideo, Uruguay, agreed to an association to implement the AHS new business development strategic direction. With MJD Global based in Canada, and planning to enter China in the first quarter 2008, it expands the reach of AHS considerably, while, at the same time, opening up Latin America to MJD Global.
As a result of this agreement, MJD Global will be making a business trip to Uruguay in March 2007 to develop the implementation strategy.
